I am impressed by your camera – what is it you use?
Also have you tried VAC2 illumination – poor persons DIC? If you can get the condenser to focus the contents of it’s filter holder in the same plane as the slide all you need is some polarised film

    • I have just looked up the VAC2 illumination – it looks very interesting and not difficult. I shall have to give it a go.
The camera I use is a Canon EOS 1100D – most people I know seem to use them because of the live view facility and free software. 🙂
